Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups

Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups is the network for Landcare in the Kiewa Valley in North-East Victoria.  We support a number of sub-groups and landholders across the catchment.

Our vision is to have an engaged and connected community that values and cares for thriving and resilient natural environments, farmlands, and landscapes throughout the Kiewa Catchment.

Our purpose is to seek multiple opportunities and partnerships for our communities to learn about and contribute to restoring and protecting our land, soils, and water. We lead, educate and enable people to ensure the Kiewa Catchment thrives into the future.

Landcare is a volunteer movement that aims to protect and repair our environment. The Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups is comprised of five subgroups, Baranduda, Kiewa/Bonegilla, Kergunyah/Gundowring, Upper Kiewa and Yackandandah. Membership is open to all (regardless of geographical location), and members/non-members are always welcome at Landcare events and activities. The groups have a diverse range of interests including:

  • Soil health

  • Pest plant and animal
  • Community Education
