Invasive Grass ID and Removal in Wodonga

Tue 23 Sep, 2025 | 9:30 am - 11:30 am

African lovegrass is a significant weed problem in Australia, impacting agriculture and the environment. It is a highly competitive, unpalatable pasture species that can form dense monocultures, reducing pasture productivity and increasing fire risk.

African lovegrass can displace native vegetation, particularly in heathlands, woodlands, and grasslands, impacting biodiversity. Its ability to thrive in poor soils and spread rapidly makes it difficult to control.

Lovegrass is an emerging weed in Wodonga.

Come along to learn how to identify the weed as well as strategies to control it.
