DESCRIPTION:African lovegrass is a significant weed problem in Australia\, impacting agriculture and the environment. It is a highly competitive\, unpalatable pasture species that can form dense monocultures\, reducing pasture productivity and increasing fire risk. \nAfrican lovegrass can displace native vegetation\, particularly in heathlands\, woodlands\, and grasslands\, impacting biodiversity. Its ability to thrive in poor soils and spread rapidly makes it difficult to control. \nLovegrass is an emerging weed in Wodonga. \nCome along to learn how to identify the weed as well as strategies to control it. \n  \nWhen: 9:30 am to 11:30 am\, Tuesday 23rd September [please note new date from original listing!]. \nWhere: Meet at the Kent McKoy Reserve access on Nordsvan Drive.\nThe reserve access path is between house numbers 25 and 27. \nWhat is supplied: All tools and any specific safety equipment needed. \nWhat to bring: BYO drinking water.
