Join us for a hands-on training session using iNaturalist, a popular citizen science platform!
What You’ll Learn
– Tips for obtaining or confirming identifications of your observations
– How to contribute to the identification of sightings by others
– Ways to tailor iNaturalist to your specific interests
Two Session Options:
1. Morning Session: 10:30 am – 12:00 noon
2. Evening Session: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Choose the time that best suits your schedule!
What to Expect
– Optional: Bring your smartphone and/or laptop & your photos of nature
– You’ll have the opportunity to add photos from your phone to iNaturalist during the session
– We’ll be identifying records added as part of the Great Southern Bioblitz (taken between Friday 20 September and Monday 24 September)
– Remember, iNaturalist is just one of many citizen science tools available – come along to see if it’s right for you.
– Already uploading your finds? We’ll also highlight additional functions within ‘iNat’ that you might be interested in!
