Albury Wodonga Knitting Nannas for Renewables (AWKNR) and ACF Albury Wodonga Region (ACF-AWR) are thrilled to bring you the opportunity to have fun while expressing your desire for more action for a safe climate.
This event is part of Move Beyond Coal’s (MBC) Turn up the Heat Week of Action around Australia that is supported by ACF.
The MBC campaign is an excellent opportunity to collectively raise our voices for a sustainable, coal-free future. Taking action is especially important with the UN Climate Change Conference – COP28 – happening from 30 November to 12 December.
Invest 20 minutes outside the Hon. Sussan Ley MP’s Albury Office to let her know that her role is to:
- represent us
- support the tranistion to clean energy
- act on a Duty of Care to future generations
We’ll be joined by passionate speakers and fun creatures such as the Deny-o-saurs.
Please join us for a get together on the grass outside the Retro Café from 12.30 onwards.
Other actions you can take:
- Join the Move Beyond Coal FB Support Network
- Sign up for Move Beyond Coal updates and resources
- Sign the Move Beyond Coal pledge to Turn up the Heat
- Sign the ACF Petition to end coal and gas in Australia
- Sign the Duty of Care petition to support the Climate Change Amendment (Duty of Care and Intergenerational Equity) Bill 2023
Action is the best antidote to despair (Jaon Baez).
