To celebrate National Bird Week, join the AlburyCity environment team for a walk & talk within Corrys Reserve to spot some of our local bird species. Come see the diversity of bird life that these woodlands provide habitat for, from the fairy wrens to the finches, lorikeets, honeyeaters, parrots and everything in-between.
The walk will cross both even and uneven ground, with a slight inclines and declines. The walk will last approximately 1 hour.
Any children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The event may be cancelled if poor weather is forecast.
Meeting Point: Corrys Wood Reserve (Eastern end of Corrys Road)
What to Bring: Binoculars, hat, enclosed shoes and appropriate clothing for conditions.
The Aussie Bird Count coincides with National Bird Week and is helping researchers better understand the bird species that occur in our urban area. If you can’t make the event, we encourage you to take a look around your yard or local park to identify the birds you see and hear and do your own count.
