Meet at Chiltern Post Office at 9am and then car pool to a viewing spot on ‘Grasslands Block’ , Chiltern. There will be a ‘walk & talk’ with Neville Bartlett as he relates the history of the Block after Parks Victoria acquired it, and the extensive revegetation and weed management that has occurred since. We will also do some GPS mapping of a large patch of Blackberry on the Block, and if time permits there will be nest box monitoring using a pole camera, and removal of Briar Roses using hand tools.
‘Friends’ will provide something to eat for morning tea.
