We know that north-facing homes are ‘best’ but is it that simple?
Based on a decade of working closely with building scientists and builders, architect Sarah Lebner will walk you through solar-passive design, addressing questions like ‘How much glass is too much?’, ‘What if I have a west-facing view?’, and ‘What if I want a big wrap-around verandah?’ Sarah will share insight from the perspective of new designs on ideal blocks, new designs on tricky blocks, and renovating/retrofitting existing homes. You are invited to bring along your current home’s floor plan, or your ideas for a renovation/new build as you will be prompted to relate the information presented to your own home during the workshop.
