WULN and Gardens for Wildlife (G4W) invite you to join us at Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre to visit their Climate Resilient Garden.
As climate forecasts predict shifts in our climate, we must consider what this means for our local flora species and land management practices. The expert team at Wirraminna have set out to create a trial plot showcasing what will be best suited to the region’s climate in 2050 and provides the perfect site for our tour.
On this guided tour, you’ll:
- Explore the Climate Resilient Garden with Wirraminna staff and the G4W project officer
- Learn why certain species were chosen and how they are performing
- See practical planting methods for long-term success
- Take part in open discussion and share ideas with fellow Landcare volunteers and leaders
This event is about building knowledge, encouraging collaboration and inspiring resilient planting practices across our region.
It’s also a wonderful chance to enjoy the beautiful grounds of Wirraminna and connect with others passionate about caring for our landscapes.
