Welcome winter with a walk exploring a different section of the mighty Murray. From Wahgunyah we cross dry Sunday Creek to trace the river down stream through its flood plain to Lake Moodemere. There are many points of interest including magnificent old river red gums ( Eucalyptus Camaldulensis) and bird life. The walk will be approximately 13/16 kms depending on short diversions to see things. Walking surfaces include sealed cycle/bike track, dirt vehicle roads and rough 4×4 bush tracks. As we are on the flood plain there are no hills so easy walking but the length puts it into the medium category. If there is significant rain prior it could be muddy.
