Border Bushwalking Club – Nail Can Hill and River Stroll

Sat 30 Mar, 2024

The ride starts in Yackandandah and follows the new bike trail to Beechworth, a distance of around 32kms. There is an option to start near the roundabout on the Wodonga/Beechworth Road and avoid the uphill section out of Yack, but then you won’t have the thrill of riding down it at the end of the day!
Elevation Yack 283m; elevation Beechworth 560m, but with ups and downs of trail … about 450m of climbing to Beechworth.
We’ll lunch at Beechworth, maybe a picnic at Lake Sambell or buy something, then ride back and undertake some ‘electrolyte replacement therapy’ at the Star Hotel.
You should bring a spare tube/puncture repair kit, water, snacks, warm/wet weather gear.
