Mt Buffalo snow shoe – the Horn and Dicksons falls
Clearly this date may change depending on snow cover at Mt Buffalo.
The plan is to park at the old Cresta site, walk up to the horn, back down, then out to Dickson’s falls. I’m guessing it’ll be maybe 12km for the day, but how far we actually go will be dependant on how easy the walking is. If it’s bad weather, or the snow is too soft and hard work walking, we’ll just do as much as feels enough.
Note that the club has some snow shoes you can hire, otherwise we can stop in Myrtleford on the way. However you’re responsible for organising your snow shoes e.g. calling ahead to reserve a pair if you need to.
Similarly, I have snow chains for my car but we’ll stop in Myrtleford to get them for the other cars if needed and share the cost between the participants.
