- The Survey Track is an old goldminers’ route that was restored a few years ago. This walk starts beside the golf course in Mt Beauty and takes us through lush forests with mountain views. At Cranky Charlie corner we cross the road and join the Pole track and follow this to find somewhere with a view for lunch, before heading down towards the gorge to see the river. Walk is all on tracks, mainly up in the morning and down in the afternoon, nothing too steep.
