We are a community-led action group that works to support our local food system with and for the benefit of the community.
By ‘food system’ we refer to how food is grown, processed, transported, purchased, prepared, consumed and disposed of.
Our network has representation from health services, local government, welfare services, community organisations, educators, local producers and farmers’ markets as well as retail, tourism and Landcare organisations.
Our approach is work collaboratively, act as a central hub for information and be the lead organisation in Wodonga supporting our local food system.
We wish to continue to expand our network and invite you to join us today in our aim to create a connected, valued and well supported local food system.
Our supporters and steering committee representatives come from a wide range of organisations in our community.
These include :
- Wodonga Council
- Gateway Health
- Sustainability Activity Centre
- Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare
- Birallee Park Neighbourhood House
- North East Catchment Management Authority
Local food producers, who also assist in co-ordinating two local farmers’ markets in Albury-Wodonga.
