Each April, Citizen Science Month celebrates the people, projects, and scientific outcomes made possible through public participation.
To celebrate this year’s Citizen Science Month, join the AlburyCity Environment Team for a local BioBlitz and learn more about the flora and fauna that call Albury home.
Come along to a drop-in session at Corry’s Reserve (https://maps.app.goo.gl/3aseLpGhTt8A6rW59) where Our People will assist you in getting set up to record wildlife. We will assist you in installing the required apps, help you create an account and demonstrate how to utilise the systems prior to using them in the field.
Simply bring along your smartphone, tablet or other device you would like to record wildlife on. As this is a drop-in session you can come along at any time during the 3-hour window, you do not need to attend for the whole period. Staff will lead a bird walk at 4pm to demonstrate how to use the eBird app, a frog walk at 5pm utilising the Frog ID app, and Lightsheeting from 6pm to identify moth/insects using iNaturalist.
Anyone can participate. No prior experience is needed. Every contribution counts!
