Our Planned Activity for Saturday 7th March is weed management – cutting and pasting; hand removal and digging using mattocks.
We will focus on ‘attacking’ an introduced pest plant, the Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus) which is regrowing on Pine Rd, Chiltern.
If we have enough people , we will do nest/mammal box monitoring in a different area of the Park.
Where: meet outside the Chiltern Post Office:
9am IF the BOM forecast temperature is less than 35 degrees .
8am IF it’s forecast to be hotter than 35 degrees.

We try to carpool from Chiltern.
When : Saturday 7th March
What to bring: water, hat, sturdy shoes, long pants, sunscreen, gloves.
Weed management: “Friends” will provide herbicide, brushes, jars, and facemasks.
Bring rubber gloves, small saws/secateurs, mattocks.
We will break for morning tea so bring something to drink , and a chair (or rug) to sit on. “Friends” will provide something to eat for morning tea.
