Be swept along an historic journey by the Friends of Willow Park, tracing its early inception by white settlers as a dairy farm, established by the Heckendorf family, to its current-day purpose as a much-valued urban precinct for a broad range of recreational purposes, within a diverse ecological wildlife habitat.
Our Activity: Two short Guided Walks followed by a Morning Tea.
First walk [approx. 1km return] in which John and Uncle David Dunn will take us across Pearce Steet to an historic Heckendorf landmark recently discovered in Clyde Cameron Park.
Then a talk from Pauline about the formation of ‘The Friends of Willow Park’.
Followed by a final creek walk [approx. 1.5km] with Jenni, highlighting some of the special ecological features of the park, culminating at the BBQ shelter for a Delish Morning Tea!
