Discover and Document Nature

Wed 8 Nov, 2023 | 10:00 am - 8:30 pm

Make and share nature observations using phone apps and online tools

  • Would you like to know more about something you’ve seen in nature?
  • Are you curious which plants, animals or fungi have been recorded near your place?
  • Interested in sharing your nature observations with others?
  • Keen to join in the Great Southern Bioblitz this November?

In these sessions we’ll explore mobile apps and online tools that can help with each of these, and more!

We’ll discuss the Atlas of Living Australia, the national biodiversity database.

And citizen science apps including iNaturalist and FrogID. These tools are great for having your nature records verified and shared to the Atlas.
They offer a way to learn about nature as well as make your contributions available for others, including for science.

These sessions are suitable for those looking to get started with any of these apps as well as experienced users wanting to find out about additional functions.

Choose from two session times on Wed 8 November.

Morning: 10am – 11:30am

Evening: 7pm – 8:30pm

FREE, but places are limited.
