SUMMARY:Urban nature spotting & skills
DESCRIPTION:Nature isn’t only “in the bush” – in this session we’re noticing nature in an urban setting. \nWhich plants\, animals and fungi are in our gardens and cities – not cultivated nor captive species but the “wild” ones? \nWe aim to make observations of urban nature to get to know what’s here and to add records via iNaturalist as part of the Great Southern BioBlitz 2025. \nWe’re excited to visit the patch of a new Wodonga Landcare group – the Friends of Elmwood – for this event. \nCome along to find out about the nature you see\, and optionally\, how the iNaturalist app & community can help you to identify or share what you’ve seen as a biodiversity record! \n  \nMeeting place: the Pavilion\, centre of Elmwood Circuit\, Wodonga. \nMap: maps.app.goo.gl/5yBG7rshy2uqrdku8 \nWhat to bring: optional\, your mobile or other camera; dress for the weather including sun protection. \nWhat to expect: \nThe pavilion has a roof but open sides and we’ll sit in there for some of the session.\nWe’ll likely only wander a few hundred metres\, as we check for nature in the public spaces and garden.\nThere is nearby parking and access is on paved\, generally flat\, surfaces suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. \nRegister here \nThis event is hosted by Wodonga Urban Landcare Network and Parklands Albury Wodonga.
