SUMMARY:Tallangatta Tall Trestle Treadle (Bullioh Burnt Bridges Bash)
DESCRIPTION:Ever wanted to explore the magnificent forests of the Upper Murray on your bicycle but thought it was too hard? The Tallangatta Rotary Club\, with assistance from Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Group\, have the answer for you! They’ll take you on a marvellous day of easy riding and exploration of the upper reaches of the High Country Rail Trail.  Sadly this will include riding past the remains of eight former trestle bridges that burnt in the January 2026 bushfires. \nCost is $120 per person. \nMeet at Shelley Station at 10am\, NOT Tallangatta as in previous years. \nThis includes morning tea at Koetong Station\, BBQ lunch along the trail\, and afternoon tea at the Tallangatta Goods Shed at the end of the ride plus bus transfer to Shelley Station for drivers. \nBookings are essential! Please download and fill out the registration form below and email to tallangattattt@yahoo.com.au. \nDetails on what to expect: \n\nMeet at Shelley Station\, Avondale Road\, Shelley at 10am sharp.  Everyone needs to check-in at registration before getting on their bikes.\nRide 10km of easy downhill through magnificent native and pine forest to Koetong Station for morning tea.\nHead off via Darbyshire to Bullioh\, another gentle downhill ride of 19km with superb views of the former historic trestle bridge sites. BBQ lunch provided by Tallangatta Rotary Club.\nFinally\, head 16km through Old Tallangatta and on to Tallangatta with afternoon tea at the Goods Shed.\nBus transfer to Shelley Station for drivers of cars.\n\nWhat you need to bring: \n\nA bike in good order with wide tyres.
