SUMMARY:ACF-AWR Planning Together for 2025\, F2F and Online – hybrid event
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join us at your ACF-AWR planning meeting for 2025.  We would love to have your thoughts and ideas! \nWhen: 15 February 2024\, 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm \nWhere:  Hyphen\, Meeting Room 1\, 126 Hovell St\, Wodonga\, VIC\, 3690 and Online (hybrid event) \nThe purpose of the meeting is to plan your group’s focus for the year ahead and particularly the coming Federal election. \nAs ACF Australia notes on their Community Hub:  As we hit the halfway mark of this critical decade for solving the climate and extinction crisis\, we must harness all of our power to engage the wider community and demand our next Parliament acts urgently. \nACF have a number of resources on their Community Hub including their National Agenda For Australia’s Nature and Climate that lays out exactly what the next parliament must do to the solve the dual climate and extinction crisis: \n\nProtect nature: Stop the bulldozing of the bush\nSay yes to renewable energy: Power everything we can with clean\, cheap energy from wind and sun.\nSay no to nuclear: Australia’s future is renewable\, not radioactive\nSay no to new coal and gas: No more green lights for big\, climate-wrecking coal and gas polluters\n\nThe National Agenda provides a summary of the issues and a clear action plan to address them that we hope community and Parliament will get behind. \nOther actions you can take: \n\nLet candidates know you care and will vote for nature and climate. You can take this pledge\, which will notify your sitting MP that you have committed to voting for nature and climate.\nYou can also use the community pulse as a tool for deep persuasive conversations and ask people to pledge to vote for nature and climate at stalls and events.\nShare the pledge and the community pulse tool with your networks.\n\nFor those wishing to join us after the meeting for a chat with like-minded people\, head to Elgins\, 51 – 53 Elgin Boulevard\, Wodonga. \nRSVP as soon as possible to help with catering. \nWe look forward to seeing you soon!  And\, yes\, we’ll have some refreshments for those attending Hyphen.\n \nIMPORTANT:  Please email us at acf.awr@gmail.com to let us know how you would like to attend.  If you are attending in person we can cater for you.  If you are attending online\, we’ll send the link to join. \nRegards\, \nACF-AWR Team

From Cope Hut the walking track follows a heath-filled valley back to the Wallaces Hut track and carpark. \nThe second walk is to Faithfuls Hut\, begins at the Buckety Plains campground.  It’s a short 1.5km return walk that involves a 95m descent/ascent. \n\nGrade 3 Medium\nLeader: Deb\nPhone: 0410047884 before 8pm\nParticipant numbers: Up to 10\nFinal booking date: Friday 8th November\nFor more information and updates about BBC activities\, check www.borderbushwalkingclub.com.au
