DESCRIPTION:Blackberries are a persistent challenge for landholders and the community\, spreading quickly and impacting both natural ecosystems and productive land. SUMMARY:Integrated Fox Management in Peri-urban Areas Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Foxes are one of the most significant threats to our native biodiversity and they impact our livestock and agricultural production. This workshop offers an opportunity to engage with experts on fox behaviour and best practice control options at landscape scale with a focus on peri-urban areas and collaborative management. \nWodonga Urban Landcare Network is working with Agriculture Victoria to deliver this workshop on managing foxes in our area. SUMMARY:Feral Pig Control in Peri-urban Areas workshop
DESCRIPTION:Feral pigs pose a threat to our native ecosystems and agricultural land. They overgraze\, increase erosion\, contaminate water sources\, spread weeds and disease. \nWodonga Urban Landcare Network has engaged Agriculture Victoria’s Feral Pig Coordinator\, Sam Armstrong to deliver a workshop on controlling pigs in our area with a focus on peri urban landscapes and collaborative management. \nThis workshop will benefit new tree changers and small landholders in Wodonga and surrounding municipalities\, existing Landcare members\, and the broader community.
