SUMMARY:Important meeting-How do we secure the future for Seed Savers Albury Wodonga?
DESCRIPTION:At this meeting\, we will reflect on the beginnings of this active community group\, why it has been so successful and why current members contribute to its running. \nWe will also consider that we are now in the situation that our long standing secretary steps down at our next AGM. With no successor in sight\, crucial tasks will be left with no one to do them. This will significantly impact the group’s ability to function. \nWhat can members do to help secure the future of Seed Savers Albury Wodonga?  \nWe invite all SSAW members and interested public to attend a discussion led by one of the founders of Seed Savers Albury Wodonga\, Lou Bull\, a keen gardener and well known for her environmental work. \nAfternoon tea provided.

SUMMARY:Deep Listening to Nature - Andrew Skeoch
DESCRIPTION:How can we engage our hearing to connect more deeply to nature around us? \nAcoustic ecologist\, Andrew Skeoch\, will guide you into hearing the languages of nature; developing your auditory awareness\, identifying species by ear\, recognising behaviours and repertoire\, and finding empathy with the voices of other beings. Deeper listening allows us to hear the integrity of entire ecosystems\, the influence of evolution and earth time\, and reveal what the communications of the biosphere tell us about how nature functions to achieve sustainability. \nAndrew’s presentations are an immersive weaving of evocative recordings\, fascinating spectrogram analysis and original ideas. You’ll hear the environment around you in a whole new way. \nBook sales will be available on the day.\nPlease book via this link or call Albury LibraryMuseum on 6023 8333.
