What is Mittagundi….
Mittagundi is an independent not for profit organisation that works with young people aged 14-17. An outdoor education centre and pioneer farm based on a 400 acre property in the Glen Valley. Mittagundi was established with the belief that young people, mountains, purposeful work and challenges are natural partners.
A successful and respected organisation in the high country community, for over 30 years Mittagundi has provided challenging, life changing experiences for Young People. It is an inspiring story of incredible effort against the odds. Mittagundi doesn’t accept any government funding; instead it is self-funded and continues to exist because of the will of the community. Since its inception, thousands of Young People have completed Mittagundi courses, a significant number of these program participants coming from northeast Victoria.
