SUMMARY:Rooted in Resilience: restoration goals and seed supply forum
DESCRIPTION:Implementation of our restoration and climate resilience recommendations ( the  70% local provenance: 30% climate analogue sourcing of seed or plants) has slipped since a focus on provenance in the mid 2000’s and is increasingly constrained by seed supply. We also have recognized that we have a lot of revegetation that doesn’t achieve “whole ecosystem” restoration\, especially in grassy ecosystems. As larger scale carbon and biodiversity plantings are implemented as part of market-driven activity\, how can we improve the outcomes. How do we address threatened species? How do we address this issue with seed supply? \nThis forum is for practitioners\, researchers\, policymakers and all community interested in the future of seed collection and supply in our region – the Murray and Riverina NSW.

SUMMARY:Hidden Farm Field Day
DESCRIPTION:Wodonga Urban Landcare Network in conjunction with Leneva Castle Creek Landcare are excited to invite you to a field day to look at landscape restoration in tricky terrain in the Castle Creek catchment near Wodonga. \nHidden Farm’s steep and often rocky slopes are being transformed. The once barren paddocks are now interspersed with shelterbelts to protect stock\, creekline revegetation is thriving and is slowing erosion and improving water quality and planned revegetation to enhance habitat for the Swift Parrot and Regent Honeyeater is literally blossoming. The property owners have demonstrated that there is no time like the present to get started on healing the land and their achievements in a short period of time are truly astounding. \nJoin us to hear their story\, celebrate their success and be inspired to start your own landscape restoration journey. \nBook here Hidden Farm Field Day
