SUMMARY:Border Bushwalking Club - North's Lookout
DESCRIPTION:At about 1000m asl\, and offering scenic views of the Murray Valley\, Snowy Mountains\, and the Riverina\, the granite platform that make up Norths Lookout\, gives 180 degree views and a perfect spot for lunch. The walk is on fire trail and located in Woomagama NP\, where at this time of the year the wildflowers should be at their peak. The first half of the walk to Norths Lookout is uphill\, making the return trip to the cars at Tin Mines Campsite\, downhill\, but nothing crazy steep. SUMMARY:Border Bushwalking Club - The Big Walk

SUMMARY:Border Bushwalking Club - Ludlows to Tallangatta bike ride
DESCRIPTION:We will meet at Ludlow’s Reserve on the Murray Valley Highway and cycle the Rail Trail to Tallangatta\, crossing the Sandy Creek Bridge on the way. This is a very scenic ride with Lake Hume on our left shoulder heading out and right shoulder coming back. The rail trail is a mixture of hard packed gravel and sealed asphalt with a few undulations. We will have lunch in Tallangatta at a local cafe or the bakery before a short ride around the foreshore and then head back to the start point. DESCRIPTION:In spring there’s no better place to be than in the Warby Ranges. The variety of wildflowers is of international significance. \nOur day will be spent wandering some short easy tracks; Pangerang Lookout Track\, 4.5km return\, Pine Gully Falls loop track 2km and Jubilee Falls track 1km return. We will have morning tea\, with panoramic views to the west over farmlands and the floodplain at the turn around point on the Pangerang Lookout walk. \nAfter returning to the cars we have a very short drive to Pine Gully picnic ground. The 2km loop will take us through impressive stands of grass trees before we reach the top of Pine Gully Falls. \nAfter lunch in the picnic area\, we will then drive another short distance to Briens Gorge picnic area. DESCRIPTION:This is a popular ride on the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail. There are no big climbs or descents so it’s not too taxing\, but you do need to be able to cover the 60kms comfortably. We will meet at the rear of the Coles Supermarket in Myrtleford. The route takes us through Ovens\, Eurobin\, and Porepunkah so there is the option to shorten the ride by joining us from one of those places. We will find a cafe in Bright to have lunch before riding back. Participants should carry a spare tube and puncture repair kit.
