The once barren paddocks are now interspersed with shelterbelts to protect stock\, creekline revegetation is thriving and is slowing erosion and improving water quality and planned revegetation to enhance habitat for the Swift Parrot and Regent Honeyeater is literally blossoming. The Street Harvest Project grew out of a passion for transforming the local food system into one that is sustainable and strong. \nThe project builds and encourages community capacity and improves food security for Wodonga residents by distributing excess fruit and vegetables\, harvested from residential gardens\, to local residents and emergency food relief agencies. \nThe project is being reinvigorated – Please consider growing an extra row of produce in your garden to support this project and Uniting in Wodonga. \nAll produce can be dropped off at Uniting (1 Nilmar Avenue\, Wodonga between. 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday to Friday).
