DESCRIPTION:Last Seed Bank Opening before spring! \nWe are opening our seed bank one last time before it becomes too cold to plant seeds during winter. Come along and grab some last seeds to plant now or stock up ready to go as soon as the soil starts to warm in early spring.\nOr just come along to talk gardening with like minded friends\, to clean and deposit seed or share excess produce.\nWe will focus on seed cleaning at this session- learn how it’s done or bring along the seed that you have saved from summer crops to clean. We will demonstrate for those who have not done it before and answer your questions on selecting seed to save\, storing and viability.

DESCRIPTION:The APS Wangaratta Inc. group will be hosting Sophie Enders\, the Project coordinator for Swamps\, Rivers and Rangers (SRR) at our May meeting. Sophie has extensive involvement in local conservation\, having previously worked in the Bush Regeneration Team at Wangaratta Council. Sophie has long been involved in both bird and mammal monitoring in North-East Victorian region and works with community groups and private landholders as well as both government and non-government agencies. \nOne of the focuses of SRR is to encourage communities to plant native species to provide habitat and food sources for local native fauna. Sophie’s presentation will be on ‘Gardens for Wildlife’
