DESCRIPTION:This loop walk starts close to Biggara approximately 30 mins from Corryong. We follow little used 4wd tracks that take us through the bush to morning tea on the banks of the Indi River. We then head towards Packsaddle Gap uphill with views of the Upper Murray Valley. DESCRIPTION:Meet at Chiltern Post Office at 9am and then car pool to a viewing spot on ‘Grasslands Block’ \, Chiltern. There will be a ‘walk & talk’ with Neville Bartlett as he relates the history of the Block after Parks Victoria acquired it\, and the extensive revegetation and weed management that has occurred since. We will also do some GPS mapping of a large patch of Blackberry on the Block\, and if time permits there will be nest box monitoring using a pole camera\, and removal of Briar Roses using hand tools. \n‘Friends’ will provide something to eat for morning tea. \nBYO chair or rug to sit on; drink/hot beverage; study shoes; long pants; gloves; mattock or pick if you would like to remove briars! \nContact Secretary Liz Maertin if you have any questions: 0423406858

Then this is your opportunity. \nOur Repair Café is a free meeting place to bring along broken household items such as furniture\, clothing\, textiles and battery-operated appliances and learn how to fix them with the help of experienced\, volunteer repairers. You can also bring along small\, blunt garden tools like secateurs and we’ll show you how to sharpen them. Maximum three items per person per session. A donation is greatly appreciated for the repair of your items.
