DESCRIPTION:Bickies with the Birds is a relaxed and welcoming morning event presented by Gardens 4 Wildlife – Albury Wodonga in partnership with BirdLife Australia. \nJoin us to learn practical tips and tricks for identifying local birds and recording your sightings. We’ll explore how you can contribute to bird monitoring in your area before heading out on a guided bird walk to put your new skills into action. \nAfterwards\, we’ll gather for a cuppa and a biscuit while chatting about the birds of your backyard. \nAll experience levels are welcome — whether you’re completely new to birdwatching or already an enthusiastic birder. \nThis event includes a guided walk of approximately one hour along uneven\, unpaved paths. \nThis is a free event\, however places are limited and registration is essential. \n  \nThis project is supported by the Victorian Government as part of the Victorian Landcare Grants Program.

DESCRIPTION:Join Parklands Rangers to help find and remove woody weeds such as privet\, olive\, cherry plum\, wild tobacco\, ash\, and hawthorn in this beautiful reserve. \nThis is an opportunity to work alongside our Rangers experiencing the ‘how to’ of caring for our local bush.  No experience is necessary – our Rangers will help with weed identification and removal techniques. \nTake in the fresh air\, get close to nature\, and learn about the local environment and how Albury City and community groups are working to protect threatened species\, improve habitat\, and link habitat corridors across the region. \nWhen: 9:00 am to 11:00 am (2 hrs). \nWhere: Meet at the Horseshoe Lagoon car park. \nWhat is supplied: All tools and any specific safety equipment needed. \nWhat to bring: BYO drinking water. For your safety\, please wear covered shoes (preferably boots)\, long pants\, long sleeves\, and a hat. \nWho: You can contact Ranger Tilak on 0421278246. \nPlease register here! Sometimes things change at the last minute and we need to be able to contact volunteers. \nThank you to Albury City Council for financial support for this program.
