SUMMARY:Banking on Trees Community Planting Morning
DESCRIPTION:The annual BankWAW planting morning is on again this winter.  Thank you to BankWAW who donates the cost of plants\, guards\, and stakes for each new bank account opened in the previous year. \nThis year efforts will contribute towards establishing much needed canopy cover between Ryans Lagoon North and Ryans Lagoon.  It will support Traditional Owner aspirations for this site and create a wildlife refuge for native fauna to help them adapt to the changing climate. \nWhen: 9:00 am to 11:00 am. \nWhere: Park on Trabants Rd.\, Bonegilla\, just off the junction of Snowdons Rd. and Ryans Rd. \nWhat to bring: Closed shoes and long pants as the ground might be muddy. Also please bring your own water.\n \nWhat will be provided:\n• All tools\, equipment\, materials\, and gloves (unless you want to bring your own gloves).\n• BBQ lunch will include sausages\, bread\, and sauce. Those with special dietary requirements\, please BYO. \nPlease register here!\n\nAbout this event: Did you know that every time an account is opened at BankWAW\, they plant a tree? \nTrees create endless amounts of good. They clean the air we breathe\, filter the water we drink\, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. \nPlanting a tree is also one of the easiest and cheapest ways to take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere to tackle the climate crisis. It’s also the easiest way that we\, as individuals\, can reduce our own footprint.

DESCRIPTION:Revegetation work in the National Park. 200 plants are ready to go into the ground so come and join in! Parks Vic will be digging the holes so we can do the fun bit. Meet at Chiltern Post Office and we will car pool from there. If you have them bring a pick or small shovel\, hand trowel and secateurs.  Bring gardening gloves\, sturdy shoes/gum boots\, warm/wet weather clothes. ‘Friends’ will provide sweet stuff for morning tea. BYO beverage and something to sit on.
