SUMMARY:Project Sprout – Community Planting Days\, Wodonga
DESCRIPTION:The Wodonga community is invited to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty this winter as Project Sprout launches an ambitious revegetation program that will build on 13 years of volunteer work through Landcare to transform the city’s parks\, trails\, and waterways into vibrant green corridors teeming with native wildlife. \nProject Sprout – Sustaining Parks: Restoring Our Urban Terrain – aims to plant over 7\,000 native tube stock across multiple locations throughout Wodonga\, creating vital wildlife corridors that will connect the Wodonga hills and waterways directly through the city to the Murray River. \nThese planting events are co-hosted by Wodonga Urban Landcare Network and our many member groups\, across Wodonga\, over 10 days at the end of June. \nPick a time and a place that works for you and come along! \nParticipants are encouraged to bring their own gloves and trowel – we will provide for those who don’t have their own. \nPlease register – we’ll keep you posted and remind you when to warm up your planting muscles. \nIf you would like more information about these events please email info@wodongalandcare.org.au. \nProject Sprout is proudly supported by Landcare Australia and BUPA.
