DESCRIPTION:2025 was another huge year for your ACF-AWR group!   \nOur events for the year included: \n\nPlanning together for 2025\, Feb 15\, Hybrid event\nMonthly meeting and catch up\, Mar 29\, Hybrid event\nAustralia’s Biggest Bushwalk\, May 17\, we walked 69 km and raised $260 to help protect Australia’s wildlife\nMonthly meeting and catch up\, May 31\, Hybrid event\nChampions for Nature\, Sloane’s Froglet citizen science with Karen Retra\, Aug 16\nPlaty-project zoom how-to\, Sep 5\nPlaty-project field trip how-to\, Sep 6\nFilms to inspire climate action with guest speaker Paul Sinclair\, ACF Campaign Director and Deputy CEO\, Oct 25\nConnecting Nature With Farming – Platy Event\, Oct 26\nEnd-of-year celebration\, Dec 6\n\nAnd we also had a presence at the Albury-Wodonga Farmers Market and wrote many submissions and letters to lobby for strong nature laws and climate action federally\, in VIC and NSW\, and locally.  Too many to list! \nWe hope you will join us in an end-of-year celebration of our significant achievements for 2025 and to relax with like-minded people at the beautiful Wonga Wetlands. \nWe’d also love to hear from you about things you’d like to see your ACF-AWR group doing in 2026 – we love hearing from you with your great feedback and ideas\, so also save the date for our planning meeting on Feb 14\, 2026. \nCome along\, join us\, and have a lovely day enjoying nature and the company of like-minded\, welcoming people. \nWhere:  Wonga Wetlands\, 2377 Riverina Highway\, Splitters Creek\, 2640 \nWhen:  Saturday 6 December\, 12 – 3 pm \nWhat to bring:  A plate to share\, something to drink (no alcohol)\, clothes suitable for the weather\, closed shoes\, sunscreen\, mosquito repellent \nOther things you may like to bring:  A chair\, binoculars\, camera \nWhat you can’t bring:  Your dog or your bicycle on the walking paths (to protect the wildlife) \nRSVP now to let us know you’re joining us.  We look forward to seeing you! \nBart and your ACF-AWR Team
