SUMMARY:Border Bushwalking Club - Canoe the Upper Murray
DESCRIPTION:Spend the weekend paddling/camping the Upper Murray River. Leaving Albury early on Saturday morning\, we will head up towards Jingellic or Walwa. Exactly where we will start from and paddle to on Saturday will be decided closer to the date and be dependent on river conditions at the time. Sunday will be a shorter day of paddling\, hopefully finishing by lunchtime and having lunch at Jingellic Pub.\nOver the two days we will probably paddle about 30kms\, all downstream.\nIf you don’t want to paddle\, you could be our support vehicle\, (which would mean that we wouldn’t have to do car shuffles each day) and camp on Saturday night\, with us at Walwa Riverside Caravan Park.\nEveryone will be paddling in new double kayaks\, that will be hired from the Canoe Guy- $120 per canoe/$60 per person\, this includes pfd’s and paddles. Paddlers must be able to swim 25m and be confident in the river.\nPlease note the early book by date Thursday 9th January 2020. This is the busy season. So we need to book The Canoe Guy \, Walwa Caravan Park and Jingellic Pub early. \nLeader: Deb\nPhone: 0410047884 before 8pm\nMick\n0437101009\nFinal booking date: Thursday 9th January 2020 \n
