DESCRIPTION:Birdlife Murray Goulburn \nQuarterly Bird Survey at Winton Wetlands \nDate:  Wednesday 5th February 2020 \nTime: 8:50am for a 9:00am start – finish by about 12:00 noon \nMeet at: Boat Ramp\, Lake Mokoan Road\, Chesneyvale (Vicroads map 34 B9) \n(We will enjoy lunch in the Mokoan Hub & Café) \nRSVP: Friday 31st January 2020 – see contact details below \nAfter seven years of surveys of Winton Wetlands\, 2020 heralds an exciting new phase. We will now be looking at previously unexplored territory at the Wetlands. The Regent Honeyeater Revegetation Project requested BLMG to survey some of the areas that they have revegetated at the Wetland. So we are adding four new sites to our quarterly survey program. Team 1 gains a new site along Lake Mokoan Rd. and a new Team 6 will check three sites near the Dam Wall area. These areas have great understorey habitat\, and hopefully lots of bush birds. \nOur next survey is on Wednesday 5th of February. We now need a minimum of 12 volunteers to form 6 teams and finish the survey by about 12 noon.
