Residents, families and friends are invited to help the Friends of Whenby Grange plant trees and shrubs to provide habitat links in the Whenby Grange WRENs (Wodonga Retained Environmental Network) reserve.
Our free Gardens for Wildlife display and pollinator stall will provide information and inspiration for all, while at midday Karen Retra, Neighbourhood Naturalist, will host an Insect Safari, pointing out where to spot pollinators, why they’re important and tales of their intriguing lifestyles.
Join us for a free BBQ lunch and chat with locals after the planting and insect tour (all in the park where the picnic table is located). This will be a good opportunity to talk to us about how you can support the Friends of Whenby Grange to protect and improve native habitat in the reserve.
We will provide tools, plants, BBQ lunch and free native plant to take home.
