Wetlands in our farming systems and the benefits of biodiversity
Ecologist Ian Davidson, will talk about managing wetlands within our farming systems – grazing options, slowing and capturing surface water flows and the benefits of biodiversity with an emphasis on preserving habitat for threatened species, in particular the Brolga.
Sarah Ning from the Murray Darling Wetland Working Group will talk about conserving habitat for wetland bird species and some of the on-ground works that have been carried out as part of the Murray Wetland Carbon Storage Project.
