West Hume Landcare was established in 1989 as a response to community concerns around land degradation and a desire to work together. It was the first community run Landcare group in New South Wales. Our activities are focused around Burrumbuttock, Balldale, Brocklesby, Howlong, Jindera, Walbundrie and Walla Walla in the Murray region.
After around 10 year’s hiatus, West Hume Landcare reformed in 2016. The group hit the ground running with activities and events in the area.
The AGM is an opportunity to hear our plans for 2017, receive membership information and for those interested, find out how to be involved with West Hume Landcare committee.
Speaker: We are excited to give AGM attendees the opportunity to hear from Chris Mirams. Chris is an experienced facilitator and manages a number of producer groups in the region as a coordinator for the Best Wool Best Lamb network, Better Beef network and the Lifetime Ewe Management program. Chris also facilitates the Community Landcare Leadership Program.
Membership: $5/person to cover Public Liability Insurance. Forms will be available on the night.
