Come along to celebrate World Turtle Day on May 23 with a family-friendly event to find out more about turtles in Wodonga.
With Dr James Van Dyke, a turtle researcher from La Trobe University, we’ll check out some special turtle spots at Sumsion gardens and discuss turtles’ needs and threats. Plus a special activity for kids (aged 8 and older) with Turtles Albury Wodonga to help construct turtle nest protection.
Come along from 3pm to see the displays and information.
Meet at 4pm for the after-school activity. We’ll start at the BBQ area near the playground at Sumsion Gardens / Belvoir Park. We’ll take a short walk then return to the shelter for our activity.
