Join the Winton Wetlands and Regent Honeyeater Project this Mothers Day Weekend for the first of many revegetation events this planting season.
Volunteers are needed to plant trees and spread seed at the Winton Wetlands, Australia’s Largest Wetland Restoration Site.
Meeting at Benalla Scout Hall on Saturday morning at 9:30 am we will travel in a convoy through rarely seen areas of the wetlands reserve to our planting site ‘Kennidia Rise’. This weekend will consist of hand spreading Wattles, grasses and rare herb seeds across a 40 Hectares.

2018 is on track to be our biggest year yet with over 30,000 plants to go in across 30 sites.
Since 2009 over 100,000 trees and shrubs have been planted across the reserve to help improve ecosystem function and provide habitat for wildlife.
All Plants, seeds, guards and tools will be provided.
