  • This event has passed.
As a once-off special we’ll demonstrate how to sharpen and maintain chainsaws and hedge trimmers. Wolfgang Huber will host two half hour demos at 10.30am and 11.30am – no bookings necessary. Please note this is a demonstration only i.e. we won’t be sharpening your chainsaws and hedge trimmers.

Do you have a broken household item you’d like fixed but need a hand to do so? Then this is your opportunity.

Our Repair Café is a free meeting place to bring along broken household items and learn how to fix them with the help of experienced, volunteer repairers. We help repair:

  • Furniture
  • Clothing/textiles
  • Battery-operated appliances
  • Books
  • Bikes
  • Small blunt garden tools
  • Scratched DVDs-CDs

This session we’re also offering costume jewellery repairs.

Sorry, no soldering this session

Maximum three items per person per session.

Repair Cafes are a great way to save money, bypass landfill, extend the life of belongings and learn the art of repair.

Toss it? No way. You can repair it at the Repair Café – we are open the first Saturday of each month (except January). Please note we are not a pick up and drop-off repair service – we want visitors to get involved and learn from the repair process.

No need to register, just come along with your broken item and we’ll do our best.
