This is a joint event between Murray Valley Bushwalkers & Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups. We will use a pole top camera and hand held monitor to inspect unobtrusively from the ground nest boxes along the course of the Jamison Drive gully. The distance will depend on how far we want to go. If a nest box contains interesting inhabitants we may erect a ladder, support it safely and give people a chance to climb up and have a look in side (this is optional)
This is a dog friendly activity – with the proviso that we are entering an environment favored by reptiles at this time of the year!
If we are lucky we might get to see something like this family of sugar gliders.
Wear long pants, a hat & sturdy shoes. Bring some water. Children most welcome
