In this second session in our Albury-Wodonga focused Citizen Science tools series, we’ll explore the Atlas of Living Australia (ALA), our national online biodiversity database, for public records of flora, fauna and fungi in our neighbourhood, reserves or anywhere in Australia. Find out where these records come from, tools for sorting and displaying different data types and how they might be of interest to you or your Landcare group.
See how citizen science data, museum records and scientific surveys can be accessed on the Atlas.

We’ll then take a closer look at iNaturalist as one tool for adding your own nature observations to the Atlas, contributing to projects and for help identifying (or verifying) your sightings. We’ll discuss both mobile and web functions of this tool.

Please join this free 60 minute Zoom session with Karen Retra – neighbourhood naturalist, citizen scientist and native pollinator guru.

Register to attend using the online form at: by 5pm the day before.  Participants will be sent the Zoom workshop link by email.

Presented by the Wodonga Urban Landcare Network with the support of the Victorian Government.
