The Wangaratta Sustainability Network in partnership with the Rural City of Wangaratta, NERSA, North East Water, Sustainability Victoria and Australian National University will be hosting the region wide event ‘Business Benefits of Climate Change’ on 1 & 2 of June. This event encourages business in north east Victoria to make proactive, economic and sound decisions to strengthen their operations and address the impacts of climate change.
Keynote presenters will include Professor Mark Howden of the ANU Climate Change Institute and Vice Chair of IPCC Working group II and Professor Kate Auty, ACT Environment Commissioner. Local businesses will also share the actions they have taken to change their practices, benefiting their bottom line and also future proofing their operations.
